Connecting with Your Loved One in Our Care

Your support is critical to the recovery and well-being of your loved one in treatment at Cottonwood Springs. Our patients are cared for by a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, nurses, patient care assistants, and our medical staff. With the approval of your loved one and the Care Team, we welcome you to participate in our family-oriented treatment plan.

Please read the following requirements PRIOR to visiting:

Visitation

• Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes before scheduled visiting times.
• All visitors must have the correct patient code and photo ID upon arrival.
• All visitors will be wanded for everyone’s safety and security.
• All personal belongings will be placed in designated locker area (e.g. purses, wallets, jackets, phones, etc.). The designated locker key will be kept with receptionist throughout duration of the visit.
• No outside food or drink is permitted.
• Visitors will be escorted down to the visitation area in 15-minute increments if you arrive late. Once in the visitation area, you will be unable to exit the building until visitation time is over.
• Visitor badges must be worn and visible at all times and returned to the receptionist upon completion of the visitation.
• All items brought in for patients will be secured by the Receptionist and picked up by unit staff to be searched and inventoried. Please do not bring gifts that are wrapped or contain glass or anything sharp.
• No visitors under the age of 13 will be permitted to visit.
• No more than two visitors allowed at a time per patient.
• We reserve the right to prohibit a visitation if it is contraindicated for a patient.

Visitation times are listed on the schedule below. A patient’s ability to receive phone calls is dependent on their schedule and phone availability. Please leave your full name, along with the patient code when leaving a voicemail. Messages will be delivered to the patient as soon as possible. 

NOTICE: It is at the discretion of our patients to allow or deny access to information regarding their stay at Cottonwood Springs. We ask you to please respect their safety and privacy.

Patient belongings

The following items are permitted:

• All current medications (including OTC meds and inhalers).
• Five sets of clothing/underwear/socks
  • No drawstrings, shoestrings or other ties
  • Washers and dryers are available on the unit for washing clothes
• Nightwear/pajamas
• Sweater or jacket 
• A small amount of jewelry
  • Wedding bands, small post earrings, and a necklace
• Only unopened cigarette packs
